Groups
Where one-to-one therapy concentrates on the individual, couples therapy on the relationship, group therapy focusses upon the relational process between its members. Groups offer the opportunities to give to others emotional support and discover what you give, you get back in return! Working in a group can be very powerful – and restorative. The group offers a trusting space to build meaningful relationships based on authenticity and emotional intimacy.
New groups starting in Autumn 2023
- A group with the aim of helping people to ‘Future Proof Life’ for those at genetic risk of developing Huntingdon’s Disease.
- A group for caring professionals who have been impacted by patient sudden death
- A weekly relaxation group offering a breadth of techniques including Autogenic Relaxation, Progressive Muscular Relaxation and Mindfulness.
- Connection and contact therapy group. The pandemic showed us all that loneliness and isolation are not conducive to positive well being. This group offers the opportunity to get reconnected and ‘in relationship’ with others in a safe trusting space.
This is your chance to connect with other people and share your story !
The therapy type groups will have a maximum 6 participants to enable meaningful connection between participants.
The groups will definitely be available ‘virtually’ and also in person if locally there is sufficient interest.
Would you like to know more about these groups?
Please do contact me for an informal chat about what’s on offer
I am happy to talk through what each group will offer and what will be required for membership without any obligation.
If you choose to go ahead, then prior to membership of any group we will need to discuss either face to face or virtually a more in depth understanding of your requirements and what will be needed from you to fully participate in the sessions.
